Can I connect my turntable that does not have an amplifier to the Yamaha R-N303D or do I need an additional amplifier?

You need a phono input. The R-N303D only has one outside Europe. Therefore, no, you need a preamplifier or a receiver with a phono input. Source: Downloads -> Manual -> Page 11: "PHONO jacks (R-N303, except European model)".
