Hello, there shouldn't be any problem because both the z690 and z790 motherboards have a mount for LGA 1700 processors.

No problem, a z790 has a lga 1700 socket and is therefore compatible with intel 12 and 13 Gen.
Check that the rest of your components are compatible: ram card, power supply, etc.

Hello!
The Z790 supports 12th and 13th Gen as both use the LGA 1700 socket. There are no disadvantages with these or any other of the 12th and 13th Gen.
