Yes, heart rate measurement on the wrist can be deactivated.

- Press and hold the UP button or the menu symbol on the display.
- Select "Fitness" > "Wrist heart rate" > "Status" > "Off".

Please note that deactivating the heart rate measurement also deactivates the sensor for measuring the pulse oximeter on the wrist.
