Can existing networks using dLan devices be expanded simply by purchasing another adapter, or does this require a new, complete kit?

Any additional purchases of further adapters with or without WLAN are possible at any time. I currently use 3 1200+ Wifi adapters distributed around the house. Performance between 180 and 250 Mbit/s distributed over 2 floors and approx. 10-15m away. No problems at all. I use a Netgear router.
