I can't answer the question because I use this dock with 2 monitors but they are not 4k.

I could not get the dock to work with 2K or 4K at 60Hz, all other features of the dock work okay. The laptop vendor (from DE) could not solve the problem either. Kensington said it should work as is! I can not recommend it, they both blame it on the cables, I tried several.
