Question about Beyerdynamic MMX 300 2nd Gen.

Basically, I want a pair of headphones for the PC. The Beyerdynamic is certainly super suitable for that. However, I would also like to use them for listening to music on the go. However, since my smartphone doesn't have a jack, this is of course a problem. Can I still connect it with a USB-C adapter? If that would work, would I have a massive loss of sound?

Sound loss is probably not really a problem. However, the MMX300 does not have a detachable microphone, which is rather impractical when travelling. A Beyerdynamic Custom Game with a removable mic might be a better choice.

Yes, it doesn't look so sexy with the microphone flipped up, but connecting the headset with the USB-C to jack adapter shouldn't mean too much loss of sound. For smartphones on the go, that's enough. If you want really good sound, I recommend a mobile DAC from Audioquest (DragonFly) - you still need a USB-C to USB-A (female) but the sound is really very good and you can also use the DAC for other mobile devices or Mac/PC.
