Are these headphones worthwhile for gaming? I only ever read about studio headphones for sound specialists etc. in the reviews. Kind regards izzy

Well, I have the predecessor DT 990 Edition on my PC. Primarily for listening to music and gaming. I am absolutely thrilled. However, there are a few things to consider. A: A decent sound card, preferably an external USB DAC/AMP. Then the decision whether semi-open or open (I wouldn't use closed for gaming). So the best thing is to listen to it.

Soundwise it is certainly top class but for gaming (shooters or simulations) I would rather recommend 5.1 headphones. Best to test in a showroom if possible?
