Are the 2 additional handsets fully-fledged single stations with RJ11 socket ? We still have an older, functional telephone exchange. Or do the phones have to be bought separately ?

The handsets transmit with DECT signal technology to the central unit, which is connected via RJ11 to the analogue connection or later to the modem, e.g. of Swisscom. E.g. connect the central unit on the ground floor and connect the handsets on the upper and lower floors to the power supply. That's it. We are satisfied with the sound quality. And we are also prepared for All IP (replacement of analogue telephony).
