Are mobile phones, e.g. Gigaset S810, compatible? i.e. can mobile phones continue to be operated via the T48G?

No, you're confusing things. You are looking for DECT. Normal SIP telephones do not have this.

No, the desk phone does not have an integrated base station. I only know Siemens that can do this.
