According to the description, this hand strap is "suitable for smaller SLR cameras". I own a Nikon D800, so it's definitely not a smaller DSLR that can weigh around 1.5 kg including the lens. Is this Peak Design cuff not suitable for my camera? Is there an equivalent alternative?

The manufacturer states that the anchor links can hold up to 90 kg, which is the impression they give when you hold them in your hand. I see no reason why it could not be used with a D800. In any case, this hand strap is well thought out and the whole system is very flexible. I don't think there is anything equivalent on the market.

I dropped a Canon EOS R6 incl. RF 85mm f1.2 and the hand strap skillfully prevented the fall. The R6 + lens package weighs approx. 1875g
