Question about Ergotron HX Monitor Arm with patented CF technology
-- How far does the lower clamp of the bracket reach into the tabletop? -- Hello all The metal frame under my table top comes within 5 cm of the edge of the table --> so I can "push in" the monitor arm's table mount a maximum of 5cm and then I have to be able to turn the screws as well (the metal frame has a height of 6 cm). This has already caused problems with other such table clamp systems, because I could not push the mount fully onto the tabletop, or the scraws had large (wide) handles that bumped against the metal frame when turning, which also meant I had to mount the mount further "out" and incompletely. In the assembly instructions linked on digitec it looks like this would not be a problem, but I have not found any dimensions on this point... Could someone who owns this bracket please tell me how far the table clamp that is underneath the table top extends into the table top? Many thanks and greetings

The plate itself is "only" 6cm, the 2 plates on the screws are 8cm. So the whole bracket protrudes 8cm into it.
However, you could make the tabletop "thicker" with a wooden board/block, and thus stretch it on the wooden board/block and the metal frame. According to the instructions, the bracket can be attached to a table with up to 66mm.
