4. Axing EOC 30-21
The EOC-Master connects to the internet via Gigabit Ethernet. The EoC devices create an encrypted Ethernet-over-Coax network over the coaxial cable of the TV wiring using the G.hn standard, while still allowing television and radio to be transmitted. The EOC 30-xx utilizes the return channel frequency range of 5 to 204 MHz and achieves a net data rate of 1800 Mbps (PHY) due to its bandwidth. This is easily achievable with a satellite reception system, but in the CATV network, it is only possible if the forward path frequency range starts at 258 MHz. Each endpoint has 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports, to which standard network devices such as PCs, smart TVs, gaming consoles, or streaming boxes can be connected, as well as switches for even more connections.
