The ZM-VE350 from Zalman is a silver external hard drive enclosure designed for 2.5-inch drives. It is primarily made of aluminum, which not only gives it a good feel and appearance but also facilitates effective heat dissipation from HDDs to the environment. Features of the VE350 include ISO mounting, an easy-to-navigate menu, and a one-touch backup function.
The enclosure has a USB interface for communication with the computer. Thanks to the latest USB 3.0 standard, transfer speeds of up to 5 GB/s are possible, which is ten times faster than USB 2.0. A suitable USB 3.0 micro-B to USB cable is included in the package, along with two small screws for securing the SATA drives and a screwdriver for quick installation.
Additionally, a storage bag is included to ensure that the ZM-VE350 remains dust-free during long-term storage or protected from scratches while traveling. Its lightweight design of only 96 g makes it easy to carry, and with dimensions of just 13.5 x 7.8 x 1.3 cm, this compact enclosure fits easily into many jacket and pants pockets.
