The design shines in chrome and matte black and features a delicate focusing lever, appealing especially to fans of a very classic look. Type II is monochromatic and equipped with a pronounced grip groove for quick and intuitive focusing.

The internal structure is identical in both versions. It consists of 10 lens elements in 7 groups, one of which has an aspherical surface. The sharpness performance has been improved compared to its predecessor, and adjustments have been made to meet the demands of modern image sensors.

It offers a wide range of applications and delivers character-rich image results, even in challenging lighting situations. The 10 aperture blades create an extremely pleasing and smoothly transitioning bokeh.

With a weight of 230 g (Type II), it remains a comfortable companion in the search for that special moment.

It is optimized for Leica M cameras but can also be used with Fuji X cameras, Sony E, and Nikon Z models.
