Product details
When the hot shoe is connected to multiple interfaces of a compatible camera with a built-in digital audio interface, the audio signal is transferred directly to the camera in digital form, so there is no loss of sound. A simple switch also allows compatibility with a wide range of cameras via an analogue interface, providing versatile connection options. Two XLR/TRS combination jacks and a 3.5 mm stereo mini-microphone jack are available as inputs. The XLR/TRS combo jacks can be set as line input, microphone input or as microphone input with 48 Volt phantom power. High degree of flexibility for use with professional equipment and camera housings Audio extension cables are included so you can adjust the position of the XLR adapter on the suspension as needed. Simply attach the XLR adapter to the hot shoe of a compatible camera to provide direct power and audio connections - no additional cables or batteries required. Sony's multi-interface accessory shoe provides intelligent networking and control of various accessories for maximum flexibility and mobility when recording with α devices.Mechanical Noise ReductionThe advanced shock and vibration suppression design effectively minimises low frequency and handling noise that can affect audio quality. Since the microphone can be attached directly to the camera without additional connecting cables, the risk of handling noise that could affect audio recording is further reduced. Extensive control options during recording simplify post-processing. Controls are available for recording level (AUTO/MANUAL), recording level connection (input 1 - input 2), attenuation and high-pass filter (100/300 Hz). Superdirectional shotgun microphone included. A superdirectional mono microphone (ECM-XM1) and a fur windscreen to reduce wind noise are included.
