The SmallRig Top Plate for the Sony FX3 XLR Unit 3990 is designed to protect the audio unit of the Sony FX3 XLR handle. The plate can be attached either via the adapter on the top of the handle or secured with a 3/8"-16 screw from the Sony FX3 XLR Handle Extension Rig 3490. It fits perfectly on top of the Sony FX3 XLR unit with built-in padding for full protection and is also equipped with multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes and a built-in cold shoe mount for attaching other devices, such as a microphone or LED light.
