The SilverStone SST-FS305-E mounting rack for hot-swap drives is designed for the installation of five internal 2.5- or 3.5-inch SATA or SAS drives (no IDE or SCSI support!) in three stacked 5.25-inch slots. This allows for quick drive swapping without the need to connect or disconnect data or power cables.

Simply connect the hot-swap drive cage once. After that, the drives can be easily slid in from the quickly accessible front. There’s no faster way to swap drives!

Changing or installing the drives is incredibly simple: just screw the drive into the frame, which requires no tools, and then slide it in. Since the built-in board has no control chips or processors, there are no compatibility issues.

Additionally, an 80mm fan is installed behind the drives, providing adequate cooling while blowing fresh air into the case. It remains pleasantly quiet, operating at a maximum of 3,000 RPM. Besides status LEDs, the mounting rack features locks with individual keys for each drive bay.
