Sigma schafft seiner beinahe doppelt so teuren und exzellenten Sport-Version selbst die größte Konkurrenz und lässt für derzeit knapp 1200 Euro (Stand: 25.04.2015) das Sigma 150-600 mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary auf den Markt los. Aus Kundensicht ist dies gleich doppelt erfreulich: Wer auf die wenigen Vorzüge der Sport-Version (Streulichtblende aus Metall, bessere Stativschelle, Staub- und Spritzwasserschutz)...
Das Telezoom von Sigma ist natürlich extrem hochwertig verarbeitet und bietet bereits offen eine tolle Leistung. Zwar muss man ganz offen mit kleinen Schwächen wie Vignettierung rechnen aber das nur wenn man komplett die Blende geöffnet hat. Speziell Tier- und Sportfotografen werden mit der Sigma mehr als zufrieden sein, wobei der Zoombereich enorm ist.
Die Abbildungsleistung der Sigma ist enorm und auch wenn bei APS Sensoren diese nach und nach abnimmt spielt sie in der Praxis kaum eine Rolle. Somit kann man sie insgesamt eher vernachlässigen. Die Mechanik ist extrem hochwertig und Verzeichnung findet praktisch nicht statt, sodass diese Werte exzellent ausfallen. Zudem arbeitet der Bildstabilisator hervorragend.
Das sehr gut verarbeitete Zoomobjektiv ist zwar recht schwer aber wer unbedingt möchte kann damit auch ohne Stativ arbeiten. Die Abbildungsleistung der Sigma ist enorm und Abbildungsfehler werden auf ein Minimum reduziert, wobei hier auch die Bildränder erstaunlich gut abgebildet werden. Der Preis geht aufgrund der sehr guten Messwerte in Ordnung und die Ausstattung ist ebenfalls sehr hochwertig.
