This discrete safety input module is part of the Modicon X80 series, which offers a range of common input/output and communication modules, power supplies, and racks for Modicon M340 and Modicon M580. This product consists of 16 non-isolated input channels and is powered by 24 V DC (positive). This safety module can be used in harsher environments and operates within an extended temperature range of -25°C to +60°C, requiring the Modicon M580 Safety processor. Modicon X80 modules provide a uniform environment for the use of I/O modules in automation architectures, reducing spare parts inventory as well as maintenance and training costs. This product is certified by CE, UL, CSA, RCM, EAC, UKCA, and the maritime industry, and complies with the standards EN 61000-6-5, EN 61850-3, and EN 61131-2. This module is compatible with safety PLCs featuring a 20-pin cage, screw terminal, or removable spring terminal block. The height of the I/O module is greater than that of a standard rack (Ethernet or X-Bus) and should be considered before the installation of the rack. The product must be mounted in the module carrier and secured with 2 screws.
