The TX-XLR9 is robustly built and features a lockable XLR connector to securely hold the attached microphone. It wirelessly synchronizes with the RX9 receiver using easy-to-use infrared sensors. The well-readable, backlit LCD display allows for quick adjustments of the intuitive menus in both bright and dark environments. The TX-XLR9 can be muted at the push of a button, and a blinking red LED serves as a reminder that it is muted. The buttons can be "locked" during use to prevent accidental muting or powering off. Additionally, the TX-XLR9 transmitter has a selectable RF output power. The "Low" setting can extend battery life in situations where the subject is close to the receiver. Medium and High settings are useful when the subject is further away or when using the TX-XLR9 in an environment with more potential interference.
