The Samyang 16mm f/2.0 ED AS UMC CS ultra-wide-angle manual focus lens has been specifically designed for APS-C/Crop sensors. This prime lens offers top-notch image quality and is the perfect choice for landscape and nature photographers working with crop sensor cameras. It is also a fantastic addition for wide-angle photography enthusiasts.
The optical construction consists of 13 elements in 11 groups, including 2 aspherical lenses and one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens. Unwanted lens flares are minimized thanks to the UMC (Ultra Multi Coating) coating, which prevents the so-called "ghosting."
With a filter thread of 77 mm, attaching ND, UV, or polarizing filters is hassle-free.
Focusing is manual, which works precisely thanks to the smooth focus ring. Additionally, the minimum focusing distance is just 0.20 m, ensuring that nothing quickly goes out of focus.
