Yamaha Mcr-N470dab
CD player, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Multiroom, Airplay, Spotify Connect, 2x 22 W
Very nice stereo system that is super easy to install with a Yamaha app from a smartphone or tablet. Coverage of CD, USB, Bluetooth, Airplay, DAB+ and all sorts of internet sources from radio to Spotify makes other devices unnecessary, although one each would be connectable via 3.5mm jack and RCA. The only thing missing is a phono preamplifier for vinyl lovers.
I use larger speakers than the ones supplied, which works without any problems, and even a separate subwoofer output is supported.

Considering the price segment, the sound of the system is quite convincing. This with a rather restrained, neutral basic setting. The great flexibility is to be emphasized if an integration into the network is enabled. Qobuz, Spotify & much more, top.
Ridiculous, however, is the quality of the speaker cables and the unusable, complicated remote control. However, the control with the app. succeeds well. Also, there is nothing to complain about in terms of workmanship.
Conclusion: Good product in the entry-level segment with many connection options for Internet access.

Of course, the MCR-N470D is not a high-end system, but considering the price, it is very well equipped and easy to operate. The limiting factor is certainly the speakers. They are adequate for the price, but don't expect miracles. I use them together with an older active subwoofer. The sound is ok. I can't say whether the more expensive combination (MCR-N570D, same receiver, different speakers) would be better here. But once again: For this price, you get a lot. The system works without any problems with my other Musiccast devices and can be operated with the app.

The small system is visually and acoustically impressive. The operation is top-notch, especially with the app. A large selection of sources. The Yamaha Multiroom system convinces me completely. The only drawback is the weak bass, but that was to be expected. But thanks to the subwoofer connection, a subwoofer can easily be added to the system and the music sounds nice and round on all frequencies.

Wanted a hi-fi system for the future. Can now select music via app and switch from PC to radio to internet to CD. Super. Easy to install. Can be further expanded to multi-room speakers. Will certainly have a look at it.
Sound a bit flat, but very ok for the 22W.

What good is such a "great" system if you can not buy accessories for months .... zero and nothing...would I have bought better Sonos....
Despite the small speakers, I am surprised by the bass reproduction. It lacks a bit of midrange but for the price... On the other hand some difficulties to stabilize the wifi connection. Finally after having downloaded the complete manual on the net everything is ok. Do not hesitate to use the android app, it brings a lot of additional functions. Very good purchase and after a week of use I am delighted. I highly recommend it!

I came from a Denon Ceol N9 system with which I had Wi-Fi problems from the start, not to mention the application which is very bad.
Here Yamaha masters its subject. The device is responsive, the sound quality is amazing for the speakers provided. The application is really great and I rediscover my music. A small detail is that the application can control all other local systems. For example: my Plex server or minimserver are controllable! That avoids other applications. And a last point is that the volume can be adjusted by 1 and it's mega practical (especially on a smartphone). In short, we had hesitated with the higher ranges but no disappointment! This little one is great! PS. My living room is 35-40m2 and it is fully sufficient for our use.

It is a very good mini system that complements perfectly with the MusicCast application to download on your phone.
The power is sufficient for my 40m2 living room.
The remote control is however, in my opinion, of a slightly poorer quality, angular, the buttons are too small and you have to point it at the system for the transmission to work properly.
If you don't have the remote control at hand and you haven't installed the application, the use becomes tedious because of the lack of buttons on the front of the system.
Apart from these minor faults, I would recommend it as it works perfectly, the responsiveness to the app is amazing and the choice of internet radio channels is huge.

Very nice central unit in beautiful brushed aluminum, well designed and well built. Equipped with the necessary connections for a compact "all-in-one" system. The sound quality, without any adjustment, is already really good. And the small speakers are also a help. Despite a rather small bass driver, the clarity and power of the bass is just amazing.
This unit is also extremely well equipped with all kinds of modern possibilities. Wired network connection, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, DAB+ radio and many more!
It's hard not only to find better, but to find as good in this price range. Absolutely recommendable.

I recently replaced my Sony AV receiver from the pre-HDMI era with a Yamaha product. To top things off, I also ordered this small system, so I have MusicCast all over the house.
I am very enthusiastic about the sound and also the functionality of the Yamaha products. This applies to PA boxes, my "big" AV receiver, the MusicCast side boxes and also for this small system. I've only added a subwoofer to the system, and the sound experience is just great to my ears.
With the N470DAB everything works as it should and the sound fits. It has of course a remote control but primarily you operate the system with your phone (Android or IOS). This simplifies the operation in part significantly, for example, when listening to the radio (FM, DAB +, NetRadio) or when playing music from USB sticks.
It is not a low-cost system. But every now and then, quality pays off. Yamaha seems to succeed in saving only where it doesn't matter. For example, the case (not a plastic bomber) feels classy and looks good. But the volume button is only made of plastic. But I don't notice this at all, because I never touch the button.
I am fully satisfied and can recommend the system.

The system is a good size, but the speakers are a bit large in proportion. Fairly easy to use, but haven't had time to exploit the new functions linked to the wifi connection yet.

Would buy it again at any time.
