Super amp.
Replaces preamp and amp from Beat. Enough power for CORD speakers with bi-wiring.
I sent the amp back to Sonos and now continue to run a Sonos Connect with D/A converter on my old amp. For even higher demands and Hi Res software I also have a Linn Majik DS streamer. You can buy it used for CHF 500. In my opinion Sonos is unbeatable in handling and software. There is nothing to complain about.

In itself a very good solution. The only downer is the audio quality. My 20 year old amplifier Sony STR-DB1080 was much more precise and clearer in the sound, over the entire frequency range. The comparison is perhaps unfair, as my Sony amplifier had a lot more punch, but was also a lot bigger and heavier.

The integration into my Sonos system just worked. Now I have still closed the last music gap to the music from LP. Simply great!

Great product! A little expensive, but works flawlessly! Setup via the app was very easy!
The only shame is that you can not create individual rooms for both outputs in dual mono mode! But I knew that before I bought it!
When I first listened to it, everything sounded a bit bland. But after about an hour, everything sounded perfect in combination with my Heco Pronto 99 floorstanding speakers. The operation is as simple as with the other Sonos products (One Beam Arc etc.). I am extremely satisfied because I now have perfect sound and perfect integration in the Sonos app. The receiver is very power-efficient and hardly gets warm at a moderate volume. The floorstanding speakers have a rated output of 160 watts at 4 ohms and work without any problems.
Hello Digitec, you should definitely do a report on this. The reviews certainly don't speak in favour of the entire system.

Good size, good performance, reduced to the essentials

Sonos - as always, installed and ready to use in no time at all - top!
The basically high-quality character of the device is somewhat diminished by the plastic housing - a pity.

Does what it should. Piega loudspeakers sound much better with a proper amplifier.

As we can't set up a soundbar, we opted for the Sonos AMP with the HDMI/ARC interface and connected our existing HIFI speakers

The Sonos AMP is great, but the model no.? I felt like an archaeologist deciphering ancient hieroglyphics. Then I took a photo and enlarged it. After that, the installation went like clockwork! 🚀😅

The device does what it should, the integration into Sonos works smoothly and is very simple.
1 star deduction because of the completely exaggerated price of 809.- (official Sonos retail price 950.-) on the part of Sonos (not Digitec).

I use the Sonos Amp with a pair of Klipsch RP-600m. The audio quality is very good. Via HDMI I have connected the amp to my TV, so I use the Klipsch speakers with the amp as audio output for the TV. The voice reproduction works very well even without center speakers and the setup is also good for movies.
In addition, there is the possibility for sourround sound, for example, two Sonos One as sourround speakers in the system (which I have tested and works well). For movies, it is also recommended to connect an active subwoofer directly to the amp or add the Sonos Sub to the room.

I use the SONOS Amp in combination with 2 B&W 607 S2 bookshelf speakers. In contrast to other power amps, the compact design has convinced me. It fits in every (billy) shelf. The device is set up in a flash and immediately available via the iPad. The price is certainly in the upper range, but at the end of the day, the purchase was worth it for me.
I use the device for three inputs:
- SMB (play music directly from a "Windows Share" / SAMBA server).
- Laptop via analog input
- Computer connected to a beamer via HDMI
The setup works very well, with the following limitations:
- SONOS still only supports SMB 1.0, which is a shame (we're at 3.0 and 1.0 hasn't been supported for years)
- The amp has no optical Toslink/SPDIF input, so the optical-to-HDMI adapter available directly from SONOS is required (but it works fine with it).
- If HDMI sound is played, the amp remains for 10 minutes in the TV input and the auto input for the analog input is disabled during this time, you have to switch manually via the app
Other than that I am very pleased and find the unit exceptionally handy. The sound is great and I can work well with it via the SONOS api.

This little device has helped me to re-enjoy my old Cabasse speakers. Really glad that I found it. I've already decided by buy a second Amp for another room!

HDMI with ARC, you turn on the TV and the sound switches automatically.
