Excellent product, offering excellent "Hi-Res Audio" quality sound. It is compatible with headphones equipped with microphones (3.5 mm TRRS jacks) or not (3.5 mm TRS jacks). I tested it on PC's running Linux and Windows 10. Under Linux this DAC offers two audio output options, one digital (S/PIIF), the other traditional analog.
It works perfectly with a set of high performance Audio-Technica ATH-ADG1x 48 Ohm impedance gamer headphones with a built-in microphone managed via a 3.5mm TRRS jack (with It is worth noting that some manufacturers, such as the ATH-ADG1x, are using a professional studio headset with a 48 Ohm impedance and a 3.5 mm TRS jack plug (3 points of contact). It should be noted that some manufacturers such as Apple and Bose appear to use proprietary TRRS connectors that require a special adapter to work with this DAC or any other standard equipment.
I am a musician, computer scientist and audiophile. I am 100% convinced of the quality of this product and it offers excellent value for money.

A really good DAC that is quite easy to install.
Note: Only works via USB ports with sufficient "power". I tried to plug it into the first available USB port on the enclosure, but Windows didn't recognise anything. Then I plugged the DAC directly into a mainboard port and voilà - everything is fine!
I am really very satisfied with it.

I would buy again.

I can only recommend the DAC, I had two others before that were much bigger and more unwieldy or broke quickly.

I have already tried 2 of these DACs. Both did not work with my TRRS headphones from Bose (QC-15 and QC-25) and Apple. The microphones are not recognised.
The support from Sharkoon is super!!! Therefore 4 stars
