Pioneer Rayz Plus
ANC, Cable
After two months of wearing it, it's time for a review.
- - -
Unfortunately not equally suitable for all ear canals. I had to try out several of the sizes until I found a halfway suitable fit for my ears. Due to the curved shape, the headphones do not reach deep enough into all ears to be "recessed". As a result, you can hear wind noise extremely well. Since I won't be jogging with them, this doesn't bother me as much. But I'll give it a deduction. I would much rather have a straight cut, as it is easier to adjust to the ears. I also find the material of the cable annoying. It is very stiff and twisted and constantly gets stuck in the pocket.
+ + +
Once the headphones are in place, you hear absolutely NOTHING from your surroundings. Great for commuters :-) And if you still want to hear the person sitting next to you, the HearThru is a brilliant solution. I also don't want to imagine life without Smart Noise Cancelling. Even when you wear the headphones without music, it makes a huge difference. Thanks to the Lightning connector, it is finally possible to actively amplify the sound on a mobile phone. You can hear that! Deep bass, clear voices or classical tones - everything is reproduced fantastically. I have also become a fan of AutoPause. I wouldn't have thought that it could be used, but it's ingenious.

If you can find the right size, good sound and technical performance are worth a bundle, you should buy these headphones. Also with a view to the future, where the jack connection will soon pass away.

Absolutely brilliant device, active noise cancellation, an app that helps you adjust and even measures the fit of the earphones.

The maximum volume is very low, so you can hardly make calls with it and you can't hear it well.

Unfortunately, the required app is no longer available for download, so ANC cannot be used. Multiple enquiries to Pioneer Rayz customer service went unanswered. In contrast, galaxus.ch customer support dealt with my request quickly and easily (many thanks at this point).
My conclusion:
Without ANC, the headphones are useless for me and I advise against buying them.

The fact should clearly be mentioned in the product description.. I bought the product expecting an awesome app like in the product description.. noise canceling can still be turned on and off but no personal noise canceling optimization and equallizer without the app. A pity… @Digitec, please write to Pionnier and apple to make the app also available in Switzerland…

Great idea, ideal if you don't use the headphones that often and the cable doesn't get in the way.

I think the recipient is happy with the headphones. They were exactly what he wanted.

I have already mentioned the plus points above. I am especially a fan of the many earplugs. Many manufacturers could take a leaf out of their book.
We are all aware that the ANC is no longer the best. Nevertheless, I like to use these headphones when the cable doesn't bother me or the wireless ones don't have a battery.

Unfortunately, the headphones didn't last too long. The cables got more and more twisted and at some point one side was just silent. Maybe it was due to the frequent winding. Sound quality very good for the price. ANC hardly present.

I have updated the app to this now they no longer work a nerve !!!!
Sound quality good :)
Convenient with lightning plug instead of jack+adapter.
The sound is ok for the price of 70.- but nothing more. Noise cancellation is weak, nothing to do with the Bose QC20

Great headphones, great sound quality and noise cancellation works amazingly well!
Bought for just under 70.- at Digitec. Worth the price! Top sound. Listen/phone & charge at the same time, perfect. The app is very good. You can adjust various settings.
They are not suitable for sports as they don't fit well enough. INC is ok, but can't compete with real headphones. More playful.

Excellent sound quality, but the noise suppression is not optimal. Only a few sounds are suppressed and there is a slight noise, even after multiple calibrations. For me, this function is unusable.
When I first tried it on my iPhone, the maximum volume seemed too low. I then installed the app and did an update, and since then the volume is fine.

+ Price-performance super
+ iPhone can charge while listening to music
+ 9 different attachments for optimal comfort
- ANC does not filter out so much

I can highly recommend them - finally a well thought-out, balanced and affordable headphone without the annoying "battery empty" message.

First-class sound! Lightning connection, noise cancelling, corresponding app (RAYZ) with various functions (e.g. HearThru, Equalizer)...
The shape of the headphones is not suitable for everyone. But for noise-cancelling headphones, this is one of the most important things! If the attachments fit, everything is fine...

Great functionalities (auto-mute is so useful), good sound quality, more than acceptable noise cancellation considering the compact size. Even more important, best customer service ever. I had an issue with the charging node, got a replacement set at my doorstep after three days I had notified Rayz about the issue (FedEx'ed to me from Oregon to Switzerland for free!).
All in all, a successful product. I find the noise cancelling good. However, high-pitched noises (rustling, hissing) are not filtered as efficiently as medium and low-pitched noises. The HearThru mode amplifies the ambient noise a little too much for my taste. But I find the mode very useful in principle.

The headphones sound good.
However, I expect more from the noise cancelling. Loud, high and shrill sounds are not filtered. Low monotone sounds are filtered well. The service from the manufacturer is good.
The cable is a bit too stubborn.

The ear buds would not stay in my ears. I tried all the different size adapters that come with the headphones. Any movement would dislodge them and I found myself constanly pushing them back in. In addition, I had such a hard time returning these to Digitec. Be warned, in the fine print you cannot return headphones. I asked at the time of the purchase if I could return them if they didn’t work as advertised and was told yes, with the receipt. I was not told, yes, as long as you don’t put them in your ears. But they’re in-ear head phones so my question was not answered in a complete way. I received a ‘one time’ exception to the policy which was very gracious of the manager but I left feeling quite annoyed that I had to fight for it when the product was so bad and un-usable.
