Unfortunately, I was unable to establish a connection to the serial device.
I don't know what it is ultimately due to, but with this adapter I couldn't establish a connection to the device for which I bought the adapter. Too bad, but shit happens 🤷🏼♂️

Nice cable
I can't really judge this cable... as it doesn't work to do what I bought it for (connecting a precision scale to a computer). But this is probably not due to the cable itself, but rather to the scale itself and the COM port connection interface not being able to recognize the data stream emitted by the scale... anyway. So, good or bad this cable ? I don't know! But it's nice!
