Yesterday I was able to test these headphones extensively!
Those who know me also know that I don't think much of actual gaming headsets! Most of them want to regulate their non-existent quality via the bass, which is simply wrong. Anyone who looks around in hi-fi will quickly learn that you should rather go for "real" headphones with a good independent microphone.
So far, I haven't had a single pair of Sennheiser headphones, but I've only read very positive reviews about them. Here, too, the GSP 600 in particular received very good marks in the reviews. I got the GSP 600 together with a GSX1200 amplifier at a special price, which is why I let myself take a closer look at it:
Optics / Workmanship:
So in terms of workmanship I have to say hats off! Normally gaming headsets are rather cheap. Although enough plastic was used here, many parts are also reinforced with steel / aluminium, which should certainly guarantee robustness over the years. The look is clearly a matter of taste, but I think it's actually OK, even if it's a little too "playful" for my taste!
Wearing comfort:
I read about various testers who were not completely satisfied with the wearing comfort... Now I have to say, I don't understand why! There are so many ways to fit the headset to your head, but I definitely find it extremely comfortable to wear! Good section of the outside world, but very clear, without pressure points!
Sound:
Now the most important point...
Out of the box you get a very good and warm sound! Sure, the bass has been raised a bit, but never as bad as a representative of the Beats, for example. Generally, a very good sound image emerges, which should certainly be interesting especially for action / shooters.
Now there is also the fact that I use the device with the aforementioned amplifier (Sennheiser GSX 1200).
Here you get another real increase. The tones are even more pronounced, the bass even crisper and in general the sound is simply wonderful! (Even in 2.0 stereo, these headphones cut a fine figure).
Microphone:
I have often read here that it is supposed to be very good, but I use the independent Blue Yeti microphone myself, which of course always beats a headset mic by a long way...
Price / performance:
Well, I'm a bit biased here because of the offer I was allowed to use. But I also consider just under 250.- for these headphones to be absolutely ok!
Conclusion:
For me, the GSP600 is definitely NOT a gaming headset, but plays in a league of its own!
It's more of a really good pair of headphones with a built-in mic!

The absolute hammer of the part!
I have a big head (second biggest mutz size, I couldn't think of a better comparison..haha xD).
I also wear glasses, bravo.
But I can adjust the headset to my head size without any problems and wear it for 8 hours at a time without any complaints.
And the sound, oh boi! I can only agree with the previous speakers. Simply brilliant! And I have the Momentum Abt 2 from Sennfleischer for when I'm on the road, this one is even better in terms of sound quality!

Actually a super headset, but too expensive for me. You get for less money a Heaset with better Mic and similar sound quality.
After about 1.5 years, the ear cups have begun to "dissolve" and are torn open. For over 250.- I would have expected something longer life of the shells. eg my BOSE QC35 I had to replace the shells after about 2.5 years and these I had partly at sports.

I used the headset for almost 2 years. In the process, it broke twice. The first time, the flip-up-to-mute microphone no longer worked and one of the ear pads tore. The second time it was just the ear pad.
Unfortunately, it's a real shame because I thought the headset was really great. The sound quality is top and it fit my wide head like a glove. I also didn't find the hefty weight irritating. The cables are a pleasant length and you can change them quickly when you're on the phone.
The replacement pads are unreasonably expensive for their poor quality.

Hoi zame,
I bought the Sennheiser 2 years ago in the belief that it will last me a long time. Unfortunately, after a good treatment, I still find that the leather of the ear cups and the felt are visible and whenever I put down the headset I have black plastic parts on the head ... would therefore not necessarily recommend this model. As for sound reproduction was all I.O. but as I said for just under 300 stutz I would have liked what lasts longer.
