The printer only requires a PW for about half of the routers displayed in the vicinity. With the others, it tries to connect directly even with a manual connection and of course fails without a PW. Unfortunately, our router (dream machine from ubiquiti) is one of the latter. After many emails with Canon support and Digitec, we actually gave up on the comment "The device can basically be connected to a WLAN, but to one that is open".
Now we have added a repeater and connected the printer via LAN. However, I have a different idea of what a "wifi-capable printer" is!

The device works perfectly. Printing is possible via WiFi or USB cable. The quality leaves nothing to be desired, only for larger documents a slightly faster duplex printing would be practical. The possibility to print A3 is very welcome.
If you don't have anything to do, you can entertain yourself by finding the many hidden flaps that the printer has in order to fit so many functions into one device.

Already had a Canon MP980 as a predecessor, and it ran for a few years without problems. Guess this one will do it as well and for a long time.

İ have had the printer for several years and at the time I bought it for over 230. I would buy it again as it offers A3 printing compared to other printers of a similar size. What has always bothered me so far is that if you want to print something remotely, you first have to fold up the front flap of the printer because it is usually closed so that it looks nicer on the outside. Cheap plastic and therefore a little squeaky. When scanning it's (normally) slow (for this price) and sometimes it's about 2-3 degrees off but maybe I'm doing something wrong. But I'm pleased because it does the job without any problems and can still print A3 photos.

I unfortunately had to replace my PIXMA MX925 and the TS9550 was the only one that came close to meeting my requirements.
It's actually a good machine, but when you compare it to the MX925, which is over 12 years old, it doesn't quite hold a candle to it as a multifunction printer. I wish CANON had developed the MX925 further.
Well den, so I opted for the TS9550. It's certainly a decent multifunction device.

I bought the printer because I have to print A3 duplex from time to time... the description says "yes", when I print for the first time I realise that I have to turn the paper manually... not funny...

The software easy print canon provided does not work since a last update of Windows 10 in March. Canon's answer is that it's Microsoft's fault... check with them... Not too OK it is has Canon to adjust their program
but no worries about printing using microsoft's "Photo

Fulfils sense and purpose. Price and performance are right.
Seldom seen such a miserable printer. Every 2nd time it doesn't manage a WLAN connection, every 3rd time it pulls in about 20 sheets of A4 instead of 1. Scrap!
The Canon Pixma TS9550 is very compact for what it offers. In addition to paper and photos, it can also print on CD/DVDs. You can even print on A3 sheets via the rear paper tray. More delicate items such as envelopes, labels and transparencies can also be loaded there. It is a pity that the device has to be manually brought out of standby after a certain time for printing. The paper output tray must also be extended, otherwise it will not print. It is therefore advisable to have the printer close at hand. Otherwise it can quickly become annoying.

The absolute worst printer I have ever seen. Haven't had a day where it hasn't given me problems. Have to restart the printer after almost every document so I can print the next one. Sometimes even that doesn't help.
This printer does not make economic sense! Far too much ink consumption and therefore a disproportionate amount of plastic waste due to the many empty cartridges and massive costs due to the constant need for full cartridges. Canon should be ashamed to bring such a printer onto the market in this day and age! A money-making machine for Canon, a disaster for the environment! A product like this should not be allowed on sale.
