Good machine, after a month of use I would buy it again and have already recommended it to others. The focus is more on the high-pressure business sector
I kindly received a replacement device from Digitec because the first and also the second device had a defect in my opinion. Despite several calibrations, the print image is streaky in quick and normal printing. This can be attributed to the paper passing through too quickly. The print head moves 6 times over the sheet on an A4 page and when it is placed in the new position, these streaks appear. After about 30 calibrations, I have basically got a grip on the problem ;).
Instructions for calibrating for normal printing:
First of all: Do not pay attention to the correction sheet. Always use full-screen printouts for the test.
The sheet is divided into segments A-E. From the first strip "cross printout on top" is "segment A". The 2nd strip-> segment B etc.
The number 5 in the correction programme is always the current setting and causes no change. Lower numbers reduce the overlay, higher numbers increase the overlay. If there is a gap, the number must be increased, if there is an overlay, it must be reduced.
If you change the value in one segment, this will have an effect on the lower segments because the print head will then touch down differently. Therefore, you should try to correct individual segments from top to bottom. Changing several segments at the same time will only make the correction worse in other places.
It should be noted that gaps or overlaps are more or less pronounced depending on the colour printed. Therefore it makes sense to print a light and a dark image to be sure if the calibration is successful. Unfortunately, the problem with segment E could not be solved with my printer because I have either an overlay or a gap, and there is nothing that can be set in between that would solve the problem.Pro

Switching from the giant laser printer to the smaller A3 inkjet was worth it.
Quiet, fast, practical. Easy scanning and copying, even duplex and A3. I installed the printer driver several times, so I can quickly access different printer settings.

I use the device in my architecture office and I am so thrilled! It is simply a pleasure to have such a device in operation. What I don't know yet is how high the printer cartridge consumption will be. So if you need to print out plans, photos and documents sporadically, this Brother is the right choice for you. I cannot judge how it looks with large print jobs.

Good device for SMEs and private households with increased requirements
At the beginning, scanning via LAN was not possible (although printing worked). But after re-installing the driver and the printer software, this also worked without any problems (Windows 10). The 2 cassettes for different types of paper and the separate feed at the back give a lot of scope for different printing options. Just needs enough space to set up, especially when printing A3.

Make sure you take out the extended warranty. Since the printer was first released, I have had problems with the ink cartridge recognition on 3 of them. There is always trouble after 12 to 24 months at the latest. The printer is basically great in terms of its capabilities.
exceptional !!!! frankly I can't believe it for this price
I bought this simple and ordinary printer for my work and since then I've had to print more than 5,000 sheets on both sides and with images. The printer has never given me any problems compared to my old one which had a lot of problems of all kinds. It can also do everything you want in A3, which is a holy grail for me! You can scan on the scanner glass and then go to the sheet with lots of hundreds of sheets automatically and then come back to the scanner for cardboard sheets etc... The machine is ultra reliable and does not stall throughout the scanning process. I recently scanned an old A5 archive with sheets of paper, sometimes cardboard and sometimes thin paper, and I never thought I would be able to scan the entire file containing hundreds of sheets in a single PDF file, in which I can retrieve the text and carry out research, all of which is in recto-verso colour A5, A4, A3.... and other untested formats. The machine produced a single PDF file of nearly 0.4 GB in one go without a hitch. I never thought I would be able to do it in such a short time. It only took me 1 hour to produce a huge archive which is now in colour PDF, with a recognised text which can be modified despite the old writing.
I'm very pleased with the quality of this printer.
The software / windows application to manage the printer is visually simplistic but in fact it is super efficient!

I bought the device in the hope of finally having a printer where the cartridge terror has an end and which does not miraculously start to go crazy after the end of the warranty period. Foreign ink is accepted, but the device then takes revenge by emptying the cartridges within a short time without printing very much. In addition, I am regularly and unprovoked gifted with paper size errors. A decent inkjet printer no longer seems to exist. I still mourn the Deskjet 1220.
Several problems
After more than 2-3 weeks of delivery, we received a new printer. This one gives us only trouble. Problems such as color printing with cyan and scan-to-mail , even copying with duplex takes an eternity, setting in the menu for double-sided not possible although displayed (gray value) from the beginning. That we then also Brother, expensive hotline with 3.- per minute after 5 minutes we consider an imposition! Sorry Digitec team, but so we can not make a purchase recommendation!
