Product details
The open-source hardware manufacturer Radxa has developed the Radxa Zero, a board with a zero form factor. The Radxa Zero is equipped with an Amlogic S905Y2, which features four processing cores running at up to 1.8 GHz. Additionally, it is available with various RAM and eMMC storage options.
The zero form factor board from Radxa is based on a quad Cortex-A53 CPU that operates at a frequency of 1.8 GHz. It uses eMMC 5.1 and a microSD card for storage purposes. The Radxa Zero features a Mali G31 MP2 GPU and LPDDR4 RAM. The Arm Mali-G31 GPU is an ultra-efficient GPU based on the Mali Bifrost architecture.
External storage devices can also be connected via USB 2.0. The board measures 65 x 30 millimeters and is only 5 millimeters high, allowing for easy output of visual content via micro-HDMI. It also supports the output of 4K content at a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Wireless network connectivity is provided via WiFi 802.11 b/g/n or 802.11 n/g/n/ac.
For connecting to other peripherals, there is a 40-pin expansion slot (1 x UART, 2 x SPI Bus, 2 x I2C Bus, 1 x PCM/I2S, 1 x SPDIF, 1 x PWM, 1 x ADC, 6 x GPIO). The Radxa Zero has two onboard USB ports, one USB 2.0 Type-C OTG and the other as a USB 3.0 Type-C host. Furthermore, the board utilizes H.265/VP9 for video encoding and decoding purposes.
Additionally, the Crypto Engine supports an external antenna, and other peripherals are available at the push of a button. The Radxa Zero communicates wirelessly via WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 (BLE).
