I would need HOTP for a company-specific application. According to the description, it is not included. Can it be "configured" afterwards? With a manufacturer called Mtrix, everything is identical to Digitec but including HTOP. It also looks exactly the same. And it costs pretty much exactly the same.

If I was looking for the right "HOTP", this model should be able to do OATH-HOTP. According to the manufacturer: Multiprotocol: The YubiKey 5 series is the most versatile security key and supports multiple authentication protocols including FIDO2/WebAuthn (hardware bound passkey), FIDO U2F, Yubico OTP, OATH-TOTP, OATH-HOTP, Smartcard (PIV) and OpenPGP. I will request the addition of our details.

Hi, I can't say whether the stick works on Mac OS because I only use it for Windows 10. With the fingerprint you can use it as additional security for websites. Is used as 2fa. It is more secure than anything else because you have to have your finger to log in to the websites you want. Unfortunately I have not made a copy yet but there should be enough videos on YouTube.

At the beginning of September, a security vulnerability affecting keys with firmware prior to version 5.7 was discovered. For security reasons, the firmware on these keys cannot be updated. Although this flaw is complex and expensive to exploit and therefore the risk is low, I would like to buy more recent keys with firmware 5.7 or later. Can you confirm that the keys you sell have been produced with firmware 5.7 or later?

Can I connect this to my Windows11 laptop and thus apply a physical security key as further multi-level authentication? Or how should I understand this? Is this also for private individuals???

The Yubikey can be set up easily with Windows 11. You can imagine that it works similarly to a mobile with a 2FA app installed. Basically, you have the same functions with a mobile and a 2FA app. The advantage of the Yubikey is that it works on all devices (mobile, PC, laptop, tablet, etc.). I use the version with USB-C and Lightnig connection for the iPhone. However, remember: make sure you buy 2 Yubikey, because you need a copy, a backup, should the Yubikey ever become defective or lost. The topic of getting lost is present with the Yubikey anyway, because it is small and inconspicuous and you should always have it with you. There is a great danger that it will suddenly get lost. Tip: Do it with a mobile and a 2FA app!
