lol That's exactly what I asked myself after buying a new filter! So plastic really is (unfortunately) household waste. But it has a metallic net. On the net I only find recommendations for household waste unless it's a large amount. That's all I could find.
I didn't know it was not available (mine is still available). I don't know of any alternative, but I hope it will be available again at some point. In between I took it out and vacuumed it, this extends it a few weeks....
No, I don't think this filter will fit. We have the large air purifier (70 m²).
For the smaller model, I would order this one:
Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier HEPA Filter
There are copies made in Asia, but I recommend the original. That said, you can continue to use the same filter for a long time because its real life in a lightly polluted atmosphere is much longer than that calculated by the application (it's not a 'wear' detector but a calculator of the number of hours based on what the airborne particle detector measures. )
And also buy one in advance ...
Hello, I think that, as in my case, it's an ordering error, the filter wasn't the right one, there are 2 different sizes, so a new filter hasn't been used.
Thank you very much for your message. We are very sorry that your error report has not yet been processed. We have also forwarded this information to the responsible department so that this can be checked.
Unfortunately, we do not know when and if we will be able to arrange this item as new again. Alternatively, we still have a tested return for sale:
Xiaomi Mi Smart Air Purifier (1 x)

Unfortunately, we can no longer obtain this item, so it is not known when or if we will receive it again. Yes, there are universal filters that can be purchased, but unfortunately we do not currently have these in our range.
As far as I can see no, go to your product (I'm guessing this one: https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s2/product/xiaomi-smart-air-purifier-4-48-m-luftreiniger-19112333) and scroll down to Accessories
I don't have precise information on the specific standard (H11, H12 or H13) for the filter in this air purifier. Xiaomi filters use a combined electrostatic and mechanical filtration technology, but the specific standards are not mentioned in the available data. It would be useful to consult the manufacturer's official website or product documentation for these details.
The filter is compatible with the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4. It has been specially developed for this model and offers three-layer filtration consisting of a primary filter, a high-performance filter and an activated carbon filter.
The Mi Air Purifier HEPA Filter does not fit the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4. The Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 uses a specific filter designed for this model and is not compatible with the Mi Air Purifier HEPA Filter. The matching filter for the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 is the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Filter.
Für alle die nicht an den Filtertausch glauben:
Remove the air purifier from Mi Home.
Disconnect the unit from power.
Press and hold the button on the rear of the purifier while reconnecting power.
Continue holding the button until the unit beeps. The unit displays some information about EEPROM.
Press the front button ONCE.
Press and hold rear button until the unit beeps.
Unplug from power. Wait a few seconds and plug back in.
add back into Mi Home.

In der Schweiz ist die Luft nicht so stark verschmutzt, dass man den Filter nach 150 Tagen wechseln sollte.
The "Mi Air Purifier HEPA Filter (1 x)" is not compatible with the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4. This filter is only advertised for the Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2, 2H, 2S, 3, 3H and Pro models and does not fit the Smart Air Purifier 4, even if the size appears similar.
There is a specially designed replacement filter for the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4, which works in three layers and is designed for optimum air purification. This filter should be replaced every six to twelve months and is only compatible with the Smart Air Purifier 4.
To summarise: You should use a specially designed filter for the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4, as the HEPA filter mentioned here is not compatible.
The main differences between the S1 formaldehyde filter (green) and the other Xiaomi filters, purple (antibacterial) and grey (HEPA), lie in their composition and their specific targeting of pollutants.
- The green (formaldehyde) filter is designed specifically to remove formaldehyde and other harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as benzene and ammonia. It combines an ultra-dense HEPA H11 filter with high-quality activated carbon enriched with an anti-formaldehyde formula, offering 99.3% filtration of 0.3 micron particles and a large adsorption surface area for toxic gases (57,000 m²).
- The violet filter is a triple-layer antibacterial filter that targets bacteria and dust mites as well as fine particles. It contains a larger activated carbon filter than the basic filter, with organic-metallic antimicrobial technology, making it suitable for public environments and sensitive people (children, the elderly).
- The grey filter is a classic 3-layer HEPA filter with activated carbon, 99.97% effective at filtering fine particles (PM2.5, pollen, spores, viruses) and VOCs, but without the anti-formaldehyde or antibacterial specificity of the other filters. It is designed for broad mechanical and chemical filtration, with a cylindrical construction for 360° filtration.
In short, although all these filters filter out fine particles, VOCs and certain allergens, the green filter stands out for its enhanced effectiveness against formaldehyde and toxic gases thanks to its special activated carbon. The violet adds an antibacterial function, while the grey is a standard HEPA filter with good general filtration but no specific treatment against formaldehyde or bacteria.
