2 screen separate from the notebook. you plug in 2 -USB C ( 1 port per screen ) and than you can use both screen. U can use also 1 screen only if you dont need both screens. It is not big, but can be handy when you are at travel and need more screen. I travel a lot with it and use it extensively, but it is true that it is not replacing widescreen monitor. Pro: - very mobile, all can fit in a 15" notebook sleeve, can improve productivity on the road - easy installation with Windows, just plug in the cables and works - sufficient accessories in the base package. ( multiple extension cables, really generous, no need to buy anything else ) Cons: - 10" is not much, - screen back-ground light is not too bright. I use it with an high quality notebook screen and it is darker, but still readable. - price Other: - you must have at least 2 USB - C port free to run both screens. ( or USB normal with a port adaptor )

The displays are usually ready to use without the need to install additional software, but a DisplayLink driver may be required, but this depends on the laptop used with the item. You can check compatibility with the interactive guide provided by the manufacturer: https://www.thexebec.com/pages/get_started
