I can't answer this question because I don't have a Boom 2. I connect Wonderboom 2 with the usual Bluetooth transmitters and it works fine.

So I don't assume that you got two defects. My boyfriend unfortunately only has the first generation, which is slowly giving up the ghost, so we're thinking of getting this one. He loves bass though, so now I'm unsure if that makes sense if that's the case with all of them. :/
