The device works wonderfully in battery mode. In mains operation it only shows me the time but the radio itself does not work. What could this be?

I only use the unit in mains operation and everything works perfectly.

What is your experience with the alarm function? Can you wake up with a specific DAB+ station or only with an alarm tone?

First of all: I use the XDR-S41D in the bathroom in battery mode and am quite satisfied with it. Portu1 is right, but for me the device would not be suitable as an alarm clock radio because the alarm function only works in mains operation according to the operating instructions and the alarm settings via the menu are too complicated for me.
