It's a good lens for the price, I don't know the Irix. If weight and size are not a problem, I would also consider the Tamron 15-30.

The lens (like all UWWs) has no filter thread. There are plug-in adapters for the lens, but they are very expensive, because you need 150mm filter cards... If you have a Nikon Z, I recommend the Nikkor 14-30mm f4, you can use "normal" thread filters or a 100mm plug-in system.
So on my D800 it works.
