Possible.

I have the same problem. Let me know if you find one somewhere :)
My Mac mini 2014 recognised it at first go and switched immediately. Otherwise, both resolution and hertz can be set in the settings under screen. Should actually work without problems
The screen is not VESA compatible
Works well with SAPPHIRE Radeon™ RX Vega56 8G HBM2, but has problems with the high Displayport frequency (100Hz) from time to time when gaming (screen black). Important is a good cable and that is firmly plugged in. None of these problems via HDMI (but it is slower).
The processor doesn't matter. As you wrote correctly, the sync mode with Nvidia is missing. I use it with a 1080 Ti. I've never played with GSync or FreeSync myself, so I don't miss anything. You don't have any direct disadvantages, it's just a normal monitor like we've known since time immemorial.
A 16:9 image is simply displayed natively on the monitor with black bars on the left and right.
You didn't provide the really relevant information about the resolution of your MacBook. Namely:
Yes, with the right adapter it should be possible. The question is, however, which MacBook Air exactly do you have? With Apple products, I always recommend that you specify the exact model and year of manufacture for such questions, so that they can also check compatibility.
It can, no problem. You have to be careful with the Freesync range. Samsung (rightly) received harsh criticism because the monitor only supports an effective Freesync range of 80-100Hz and flickering occurs when using the "UltimateFreesyncRange" (40-100Hz). Extremely unfortunate, as the monitor itself would be great. If you don't need FreeSync, it's still worth considering.
Yes, this is possible with the appropriate cable/adapter.
I have bought the monitor but have not yet installed it. This text is from the Samsung website where the monitor is described: "For optimal flexibility, Samsung's Picture-by-Picture (PBP) feature allows you to connect two input sources using HDMI and DP while preserving the original picture quality. The Picture-in-Picture (PIP) feature also allows the second picture to be resized to up to 25% of the screen in any position."
Yes, the 1070 is perfectly adequate. Of course, it always depends on the games you play and the programmes you use. But the 1070 should be able to handle it easily. The monitor is a bit expensive if I were you, I would look around a bit more for a cheaper one.
So you can use it... but firstly with a mini displayport HDMI cable or DVI cable... and secondly the edge of the screen will probably be black... this one has 21to9 and the SurfaceBook if I remember 3to2.... 3000 to 2000 and this one has 3440 to 1440... but if that doesn't bother you.... samsumg curved are awesome... and surfaces too... lg
Try the two steps "Manually adjust display on screen" and "Correct blurred font on scaled display" at the end of the following page: https://www.pcwelt.de/ratgeber/Tipps__UHD-Monitor_richtig_einstellen-Ultra-HD_am_Display-9001466.html PS: Also do the setup for ClearType text optimisation.
As there is no VESA wall mount type available, this will not work with a standard wall mount. At best, the Icy Box (Icy Box IB-MS600-W (ceiling, wall, 24") ) is an alternative. However, it is expensive and doesn't look that great, as only the support for the screen can be used.
Then you should request a guarantee if the cable has already been supplied as such
A vesa plate 100x100mm is included in the delivery. This allows you to use a wall mount or, for example, this table mount. Arctic Z1 Pro Gen 3 (table, 1, 49")
The VESA attachment for a wall mount on the monitor is included, but no wall mount itself.
Hello, Yes, there is a wall mount provided in the package ( 100x100mm - 200x200mm )
That should work. Both Samsung and HP EliteBook have a Displayport interface. Such a cable is even included with the monitor. I also had my monitor connected to a 5-year-old Fujitsu notebook via Displayport for a while and it worked perfectly.
Yes, as long as you have DisplayPort or HDMI connectivity. But you won't have NVIDIA G-SYNC (which isn't very useful in the end..)
Regarding point 2, according to information from the Digitec hotline, the additional lockable guarantee does not extend the protection against "dead" pixels. Accordingly, I will not buy the screen and question 1 is therefore superfluous.
Um, excuse me... Could you please show me where this "contradictory information" can be found? Here at Digitec? As far as I know, there is no way to nail this monitor to the wall without doing some tinkering yourself.
