Actually need the monitor with a Lenovo Thinkpad, but as I also have a Mac Book Pro, I tested and it works with Hdmi cable (supplied) and connection to transition cable Hdmi-Thunderbold (from Sandberg) to Mac Book Pro socket (with the lightning). This way you get two screens.

This screen is enchanting. If you have a powerful PC with it, everything works flawlessly. The sharpness, colours and brightness are terrific. As I said, with a good PC, there's nothing to complain about. You mentioned it; the response time is always long, which would be annoying for video games.
