Is there a suitable spider for the PodMic?

I don't think so, because the microphone capsule is already suspended within the microphone housing in a structure-borne sound damped manner. My PodMic is attached directly to an M!ka microphone boom using the original mounting bracket (very well designed). I also don't know if the large diameter of the PodMic (62mm) would even fit into a standard spider. So far, I have not experienced any problems with noise via structure-borne sound.

According to our information, the RODE PodMic is compatible with the AMC2 NEO. You just need to make sure that you set the correct gain (approx. 60 dB) and deactivate the 48V phantom power, as the PodMic does not require phantom power.

Helpful answer

I have attached the microphone to an adjustable microphone boom. The microphone arm itself is attached to the stand-alone table, immediately adjacent to my work table. This automatically isolates the microphone from the structure-borne sound of the work table. This works without the slightest problem, but does not necessarily help at another location, as the local situation can be very different.

Hello Ulrichkaiser The mic has an XLR output. This means that you need a mixer to connect it directly to your notebook. Here you can find a list of micros that you can connect without an adapter.
