So I don't know exactly what you mean by dongle. The controller you bought is a wired controller that you simply plug into the front usb slot of your ps4. But there is also a wireless controller from nacon gaming for about 20 CHF more if you want some freedom and don't always have to be tied to a cable.
It has all the functionality of a regular controller, I use it with my pc however so I can't speak for the use on console. The shape takes some getting used to but the build quality is better than I've seen on many controllers.
The cable length is approx. 3m.
