Small mistake in the product category: All Hoya R72 are infrared filters, not infrared blocking filters.

Hi all, can I use this filter for deep sky astrophotography, as it brings out the infrared part of the nebulae? Can I save an astromodified camera by using this filter? I would be very pleased to receive a quick answer.

Has anyone tested the 82mm Hoya R72 infrared with the Canon EF 16-35mm 2.8 L II USM Wide Angle lens (I have a 6d mark i). Thanks for your feedback.

Does this filter not exist in the 49mm size? (for OM lenses, analogue)

Diameter ? probably 62mm
