Yes, if you connect the DMP-A6 to your Yamaha RX-A6A via XLR, the DMP-A6's internal DAC will be used. This is the desired connection to use the analogue output of the DMP-A6. You do not need to switch to digital connections such as coaxial or optical to use the DAC. The XLR connection allows a direct analogue connection that uses the DAC function of the DMP-A6.

The Eversolo DMP-A6 device is a network audio player and DA converter, but it does not have built-in speakers. You therefore need separate speakers or an amplifier to play the music. The device offers various output options such as XLR and RCA, which you can use to connect it to your amplifier or speakers.

There are several ways to connect the Eversolo DMP-A6 to active speakers such as the Audioengine a5+, depending on whether you want to use the DMP-A6's internal DAC functions or an external DAC. ### Using the DMP-A6's internal DAC functions 1. connection via RCA or XLR: - Use the analogue output ports (RCA or XLR) on the back of the DMP-A6. - Connect the RCA or XLR cables to the corresponding inputs of your Audioengine a5+ speakers. ### Using an external DAC 1. connection via USB to an external DAC: - Use a USB A-B cable and plug it into the USB AUDIO port of the DMP-A6 and into the USB B port of the external DAC. - Make sure that the external DAC is set to the USB-B input. - Then connect the external DAC to the Audioengine a5+ speakers via RCA or XLR. ### Settings on the DMP-A6 - If you are using an external DAC, set the output to "USB DAC" in the DMP-A6 menu and adjust the settings according to the capabilities of the external DAC. ### Additional notes - Make sure that the speakers are properly connected and switched on. - Check the settings of the DMP-A6 and the external DAC to achieve the best possible audio quality.

Hello, unfortunately you cannot connect headphones. XLR Micro does not work either. I can't answer your question about USB Micro. The device is mainly intended for playback and it's great at that!

Hello, no passive speakers can be connected to this device. Only active speakers via the XLR output, or via analogue: (RCA), digital: Coaxial S/PDIF (1x), Optical TOSLINK (1x), XLR (2x), HDMI (1x). So you need a power amplifier. Eversolo has one on sale (https://www.eversolo.com/Product...) but I have no experience with it. I'm very happy with the device (DMP-A6), I mainly use it for HI-RES music playback from a NAS. Very good sound (supports practically every audio format, FLAC was important for me), large display with touch function. Can also be controlled via teachable infrared remote control (Logitech Harmonie etc.) (most important functions) or complete operation via mobile app. Top device, I can only recommend it, provided of course that you have an amplifier. This device turns my Revox amplifier from the 80s back into a super system that leaves practically nothing to be desired. Greetings newobiwan
