Range probably. Please note, however, that the Eufy cameras use their own proprietary WIFI standard. This means that you cannot extend the Eufy Wifi yourself or anything similar. The cameras must ALWAYS be within range of the Homebase. Several Homebases if necessary.

Do the cameras also work without HomeBase?

Helpful answer
No, the cameras do not work without HomeBase. They are designed as additional cameras for the eufy system and require the HomeBase 3 for storage, connection and full functionality.

If you really want to expand the storage in the HomeBase itself (and it is displayed directly in the eufy app as a local drive, for example), you will need to install a 2.5″ SATA HDD or SSD, which you will not normally find directly as an "external USB drive". These can be searched for separately at Galaxus via the category "Hard drives / SATA 2.5″".

They have a USB-C connection. I have to connect a power bank for 24 hours every 2 months on the shady side of the house. However, the camera in question is also triggered several times a day, hence the "short" cycle. Otherwise, the batteries last forever.

The camera has a viewing angle of 135°. The maximum detection distance depends on environmental conditions, but it generally detects people up to about 10 metres away.

20 meter is a bit far but should work without any significant problem, as Homebase creates its own 2.4 Ghz Wifi network. In my home setup it approx 10 meter from the farthest camera.

The camera requires around two hours of direct sunlight per day to charge itself permanently using solar energy. If it is placed in the shade and does not receive direct sunlight, it can be operated for up to a year with the built-in battery without solar power, but sunlight is required for a permanent and optimal charge.

The cameras only use the HomeBase 3 WLAN and not the home WLAN directly. The connection is only made to the HomeBase 3, which is connected to the Internet router by cable. Direct WLAN access of the cameras to the home network is not possible.

Yes, the camera can also be used and set up indoors. As it is battery-operated and does not require fixed cabling, you can position it flexibly without having to drill holes in the walls. The camera supports WLAN and can therefore be used wirelessly, which makes it easier to use indoors. It is also equipped with a motion detector, night vision function, siren and two-way audio, which is also useful indoors. Power is supplied via battery operation or solar energy, so no fixed power supply is required [manufacturer data].

Due to the fluctuating conditions and availability on the market, the set is currently actually more expensive than buying the parts individually. However, this can change quickly due to our dynamic prices.

Yes, you will receive a notification in the app if something moves, even without a plan, thanks to the motion detector function. You can also look back at the recordings without a plan, as the camera supports local storage.

The camera can't be connected to a WIFI directly. Cameras can only connect to the station (proprietary wifi technology between home-station and cameras). The home station supports WiFi but I would recommend a Ethernet connection.

The EufyCam S330 does not support direct display of live images on the Apple Watch without a plan. However, the camera can be integrated with HomeKit, which enables the display of live streams on the Apple Watch, but with limitations. Some users report problems with the display of thumbnails or live feeds on the Apple Watch, which may be affected by software updates. To view live images directly on the Apple Watch, as with your Arlo camera, this is currently not possible with the EufyCam S330 without restrictions.

Hi Dustin, In my case, the camera carries out the updates automatically. I don't do anything. If this is not the case for you, you can start the update manually under General > About device > Check for firmware updates. If that doesn't help, I would try resetting the camera and then carrying out the update again.
