Creative Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1
USB 2.0
yes adjustable via the Omni software
Unfortunately, that's not possible. I always unplug the headphones when not in use, it's the easiest way.
Another possibility that could work under Windows 10: 1. open Device Manager, 2. open Sound, Video and Game Controller, 3. uninstall the current audio adapter (e.g. High Definition Audio), 4. click Search for changed hardware, 5. wait for installation of the Creative Sound driver, 6. restart computer.
In my opinion, this does not work under Windows. The driver does provide two audio outputs, one optical (SPDIF/Toslink) and one "normal" (jack). However, you can only select one or the other as the Windows output device. I use Toslink myself.
It is best to contact Creative support directly for troubleshooting and problem solving.
Correct, it is a stand-alone sound card that connects to the computer via USB.
I think it should work. I also connected my Teufel 5.1. It has 2 x aux connections (sub/centre and rear left/rear right) and two RCA connections for front left/front right. Adapter cable for cinch to aux is already included in the delivery. So everything should work

On Windows as well as Fedora and Ubuntu, you can regulate the volume via the shortcuts. So I think it is very likely that it will work on macOS as well.
