The CHERRY KC 6000 Slim for Mac keyboard can be a good alternative for replacing a faulty Mac keyboard, especialmente if you use a Mac. Here are some key points to consider: - Compatibility: The keyboard is specifically designed to be compatible with Mac OS X, starting from version 10.13 or higher. - Design and features: It features a chiclet design with a saw mechanism for a quiet and comfortable typing experience. It also includes a numeric keypad and special media keys. - Stability: The keyboard has an integrated metal plate that makes it stable and prevents it from slipping on the desk. - Connection: It connects via a 1.8 m USB cable, which is convenient for users with USB-A ports. However, note that this keyboard is not made of aluminium, but rather a compact design with an integrated metal plate for stability. If you're specifically looking for an aluminium keyboard, you might consider other options such as the Matias Wired Aluminum Keyboard for Mac.

Depends on the language setting. The keyboard layout changes depending on the language setting. Sometimes L+ALT or G+ALT.... If the language setting is not according to the keyboard (e.g. a German keyboard and a French-CH setting, then you have to memorise it or display the keyboard in the menu to quickly look up characters).

Mine doesn't light up, so I assume it can be switched off. I have it on a Mac and some of the characters are wrong, unfortunately I can't use it, which is a shame, otherwise I would like it.
