This is not a promotion, but a price adjustment. Our system usually indicates this with -%.
In fact, this offer is supplied by a different supplier than the individual parts, resulting in this price difference.
Yes, the printer is compatible with the KP-108IN photo cartridge, as this is explicitly designed for the Selphy CP series, including the CP1500. The cartridge contains 3 colour cartridges and 108 sheets of 4x6 photo paper (100 x 148 mm), which corresponds exactly to the supported paper format.
You can print directly from your Android mobile phone to the printer via a direct Wi-Fi connection. To do this, activate the Wi-Fi settings on the printer, select "Direct Connection" and then connect your mobile directly to the printer via Wi-Fi. Then use the Canon SELPHY app or the Mopria Print Service on your Android device to print wirelessly.
The Canon SELPHY CP1500 is not explicitly listed as compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina in Canon's official compatibility charts. However, you can still print from macOS using AirPrint, which does not require specific software compatibility for basic printing functions.
Yes, the Canon Selphy CP1500 printer comes with a colour cartridge so you can start printing straight away. The Selphy CP1500 printer prints in colour. It uses thermal transfer technology to produce colour photos that can last up to 100 years.
There is no toner. These are dye-sublimation prints and the cartridges are ordered in the same way as the paper. As for the number of prints, well that depends on the corresponding set (paper and ink) purchased.
No, the Canon SELPHY CP1500 does not support USB charging. The USB Type-C connection is only used for connection to the computer or USB drive, and not for charging the battery.
No, no cartridges are required. The colour transfer ribbon is supplied with the paper.
The device is powered by a mains adapter (from a socket) - no battery operation. I don't know whether there is an optional rechargeable battery for it.
Hello, as it is a thermal transfer printer, nothing can dry out. Maybe you got a bad batch of ribbons? It's best to ask Canon, they have great support.
Good morning,
In this case, this is a temporary offer to get 3 months of Disney+ (streaming). You will find more details about this in the specifications.
We receive the bundle from a different supplier than the individual parts. As a result, this bundle is currently more expensive than the individual components. We regret the current situation and the associated circumstances.
The "Selphy CP1500 Black + RP-108" offer from Canon includes everything you need to start printing right away. Here are the most important components included in the package:
- The SELPHY CP1500 printer
- The RP-108 photo paper and ink set
These components allow you to start printing photos via Wi-Fi, USB or a memory card straight out of the box.
It is possible to change the photo paper with colour in X format, but it is important that you use the correct paper for the printer. The Canon Selphy CP1500 uses special paper that is supplied with the ink cartridge. If you change the paper format, you must ensure that you use the correct paper and ink cartridge. After a format change, you cannot continue to use the pack you have started if it is not suitable for the new format. It is advisable to always buy the paper and ink together to avoid compatibility problems.
Hello!
I bought this Canon Selphy CP1500 on 31/07/2024 and I have two years warranty. I used this machine only one time and whenever I want to use it to print photos it shows a message in yellow badge “Paper and ink cassette sizes are incorrect” and this another message “change both paper and ink cassettes”. So please if anyone can help me out with this issue I would appreciate it.
I changed the ink cartridge and reset the printer but still have the same problem. What should I do?
Thanks in advance
For the Canon Selphy CP1500, you will need to purchase specific printer cartridges and photo paper sets offered by Canon. Here are some of the options available:

These cartridges and sets are specially optimised for photo printing and sticker printing and guarantee optimum print quality and colour accuracy.
Hello everyone
I own a Sony Selphy CP1500 and use the official combination packs with colour cartridges and photo paper. Unfortunately, it has now happened twice that the colour cartridge shows as empty after only 2-5 prints.
I have noticed that this has happened every time I have not used the printer for a few days or 2-3 weeks. I am now wondering:
Is this a known problem?
Can the cartridge dry out or is there another cause?
Is there a way to make the cartridge work again or to ensure a longer shelf life?
I would appreciate any help or tips!
Thanks in advance!
Best regards
The offer "Selphy CP1500 Black + RP-108 (direct thermal, colour)" from Canon includes the following:
- The Selphy CP1500 printer
- The RP-108 High-Capacity Colour Ink/Paper Set, which contains 100 print pages.
With this package you can unpack the device and start printing immediately, as all the necessary components such as printer, ink and paper are included. The printer is also equipped with various connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, USB and memory cards, making it easy to print from different devices.
The main difference between the Canon SELPHY CP1500 you mention and the other Canon SELPHY CP1500 (black) is not in the printing functions or the supported paper formats, but rather in the following aspects:
## Included accessories
- The black SELPHY CP1500 can be supplied with a paper and ink set (RP-108), which is not explicitly mentioned for your model.
## Paper formats
- Both printers support the same paper sizes, including 100 x 148 mm (postcard size), 54 x 86 mm (credit card size), 54 x 54 mm (square stickers) and 22 x 17.3 mm (mini stickers). There is no support for A4 formats on either model as they are specifically designed for smaller photo formats.
## Colour and design
- The only other difference might be in the colour and design of the casing, but this has no impact on functionality or print quality.
Overall, both printers offer the same printing functions and support the same paper formats. The difference lies mainly in the accessories supplied and the colour of the casing.
