Yes, the ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI is compatible with the Samsung 9100 Pro. The motherboard fully supports PCIe 5.0 and has M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs. However, please note that you should install the Samsung 9100 Pro in the M.2_1 slot to avoid bandwidth sharing and get the full performance of your graphics card.

To use an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with this motherboard, it is strongly recommended to update the BIOS before installing the CPU and booting the PC, as compatibility with Ryzen 9000 series processors generally requires a recent version of the BIOS. The most recent version available on the official ASUS website (3279) improves compatibility and stability, but there is no explicit official confirmation that the 9800X3D is immediately supported without prior update. User feedback indicates that the 9800X3D works with recent BIOSes (e.g. 3265), but memory compatibility or boot problems may occur if the BIOS is not up to date. If in doubt, it is advisable to update the BIOS using the BIOS FlashBack function (without a CPU installed) to ensure optimum compatibility. If you need official confirmation, check the CPU compatibility list on the ASUS website or contact ASUS technical support for your country.

My opinion is very personal, but I think that overclocking is dead. The few fps gained in a synthetic benchmark are no longer worth the work and research needed to go through all the available options. EXPO and PBO are enough to automatically adjust performance. I've been overclocking for a long time, but this card offers the best value for money for me. It allows you to use the latest AMD processors and graphics cards without costing a fortune, while remaining stable, with no crashes or major BIOS bugs. If your aim is to break world records, this isn't the card for you. But you wouldn't be asking the question if it was. So for me, this card in 2025 is still absolutely perfect for holding the most powerful cpus and gpus as I do. Choosing the right ram seems to me to be much more conducive to results. The automatic PBO allows you to reduce the temperature and therefore gain in performance, which is just great.

Can I use it with a Ryzen 7 9800x3D?

The ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI motherboard supports Ryzen 7000 and 8000 Series processors, but does not directly specify support for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. However, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is part of the 7000 Series, so it may be compatible. To confirm compatibility, I recommend checking the list of supported processors on the manufacturer's official website.

Difficult to say, I've had mine for a few months, but in any case it won't have the latest BIOS installed. An update is strongly recommended, as new versions are released regularly. But you can update without any problems, even without the CPU installed and the screen connected (I've done this a few times without any problems). You can find the latest BIOS here: https://rog.asus.com/ch-de... 1. load BIOS on memory stick, rename file 2. plug in specific USB port 3. press BIOS FLBK button (the usb ports have a small black button) 4. LED BLINKS for several minutes during installation, when finished LED lights up permanently 5. process is successfully completed when the LED lights up permanently See also the manual for a detailed description of the process. Good luck !

The ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI motherboard is compatible with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, as indicated on the official ASUS website. As far as using RAM with XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) is concerned, it is generally risk-free if the RAM specifications are compatible with those of the motherboard. However, it is advisable to check that the XMP parameters are correctly configured in the BIOS to avoid any stability problems. It is also advisable to update the motherboard BIOS to the latest version to ensure optimum compatibility. In short, with the correct configuration and BIOS update, you should not experience any crashing problems with your hardware combination.

According to our information, the following RAM is compatible: 4 DIMM slots - DDR5, non-ECC, on-die ECC, unbuffered It could be that the qualified supplier list from Asus does not list all possible options, or that only certain modules have been tested.

I had to ask myself the same question a week ago, and this link answers it similarly to UnbekannterNr1: https://www.computerbase.de/forum... The E is the more expensive (compared to F) and has the best voltage converters (possibly relevant for over-clocking), and in my case I was still interested in an optical audio output (Toslink): which only the E variant still has. In the end, it's the small details that can be relevant.
