Yes, it comes with a little ball that you attach to the wall; the camera magnetises to it. Warning: if you have a Windows tablet you won't be able to log into your account, no matter what Arlo claims. You need to have either an Apple or an Android tablet. I have Windows: I get the alerts, but I can't get into my account to change the settings.
I noticed that there are more things that are "repeatedly" on sale ;)
Depending on the settings, this can be different. Attached is a picture of the video settings: https://www.allround-pc.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Arlo-Pro-2-Videoeinstellungen.jpg According to the manufacturer, the battery has a runtime of approx. 3 to 6 months with average use. For these averages, it is assumed that you use the Optimal or Highest battery life settings and that your camera records for about five minutes a day. If you change the recording time or amount in your camera's recording modes and rules, this will result in a shorter battery life. The following environmental factors can also reduce battery life: Temperatures below 0°C Low-light environments that require more power from the infrared sensors. Weak connection to the base station due to distance, Wi-Fi interference or obstacles between the camera and the base station
Hello, Found the following reply: Hi @DamianM, I was "lucky" before and was able to get hold of someone from telephone support who said the Arlo devices have not been supported for some time and it will never work again. On this frustration I set everything back to factory settings and installed/paired everything again via web gui, including Arlo via web. That was the solution to the problem. You have to register everything via WEB-GUI (Arlo+Nighthawk). The support video is not very helpful as it explains everything via app. Now there are only 2 small problems. 1. When charging the router, a heat symbol appears constantly. 2. when operating without battery, the router restarts regularly. The FW version is the 12.06.12.00 I currently use 2 such routers as Arlo base stations. They work without any problems. B.Peter
Yes. A magnetic holder. But I got the other one to screw on. You can align the cameras better with it.
basically no, it was included with mine. BUT: It is a MicroUSB...I mean most people have such a cable lying around somewhere...if you live around the corner (St. Gallen) and don't have one I have enough lying around at home :-)
hello, either way, trying is a MUST. i can speak for us, over 2 floors, then diagonally through the house. works. but just try. i also "only" got 1 set at first. the 2nd one when i knew it would work.
From the Arlo Forum: "currently only Arlo Baby Camera supports HomeKit." So: unfortunately no. Although Arlo is supposedly working on it again and again.
Ok after many attempts and trying different things I FINALLY figured out how to make it work. Hope this helps to anyone might have same issue. The camera can only work if you have configured your M1 Router only to have 2.4 GHZ WiFi Frequency, if you have configured to display 2.4 GHZ and 5GHZ bands, it wont work, needless to say that also if you have only 5GHZ will work, the camera only works on 2.4GHZ band, therefore router MUST BE ONLY in the 2.4 Ghz band in order to detect the camera. Cheers!
Yes - one camera power supply unit is included per set.
I have only attached one. But I think several are possible, as it acts like a base station.
No, there are alarms for every movement, but switching from active to passive is relatively simple.
There are two cams but only one charging cable - so if you don't want to run both cameras on battery power you have to buy an additional USB charger with cable separately.
Yes, is required. This camera is for the expansion of an existing system. Otherwise, the Arlo Go might be something - but it needs a 3G/4G data card.
Yes, the set also works without a base station.
The range between the station and the camera is max. 15m. If there are walls between them, the range is even less. The battery power is quite weak. If there is a lot of movement, the battery will last about 5-10 days. My battery lasts about 1 month with little movement.
Yes. It's like using the WiFi from inside with your smartphone outside.
Ja, das ist möglich. Maximum 5 Kameras pro Basisstation mit Free Account, ansonsten müssen Sie Ihr Abo anpassen bei Arlo: https://www.arlo.com/ch/products/subscription-plans.aspx
The cameras are IP65, which means you can leave them outside without any problems, even in winter, but of course they should still be in a protected place, there's no point if there are raindrops or snow on the lens, then you won't see anything either. I am very happy with the system, it works TIPTOP.
