Nervig ist neben dem langsamen Laufwerk vor allem die Bildanschärfung bei Blu-rays, die sich nicht abschalten lässt. Insgesamt liefert der Pioneer BDP-430 jedoch ein gutes Bild bei 2D und 3D, und auch sein sehr feines Upscaling von DVDs überzeugt. Vor allem in Verbindung mit Pioneer-Receivern ist er eine überlegenswerte Anschaffung.
… In Sachen Bildqualität gelingt dem BDP-430 eine feine Skalierung bei DVDs. Nicht ganz astrein finden wir die die Schärfeanhebung bei Blu-ray-Disc. Erweiterte 3D-Extras bietet der Player nicht.
