Pioneer's Direct Energy amplifier design allows for efficiency with lower power consumption. Features such as an isolated power circuit, custom-made large capacitors, Direct function, power amplifier's Direct mode, aluminum volume control, and front panel, as well as the MM phono input, enable bright and clear sound with very low distortion. The A-40AE stereo amplifier can connect two pairs of speakers, either for simultaneous use or independently. The sturdy steel chassis and aluminum front panel protect the amplifier from mechanical and electronic interference.
